No, it is not. DJI FPV is not waterproof since it works with electronics, and water can be a powerful enemy for DJI FPV. But the good news is that the DJI FPVs are water-resistant.
- Waterproof means that water cannot enter or leak through the material’s surface.
- Water resistance is when the saturation of water slows for a short time, but eventually, water will seep in.
But you can find some of the DJI drones that are water-resistant. Do you know what the difference is between waterproof and water-resistant?

What are the water-resistant DJI drones?
It is not recommended to hover the DJI drones in wet and rainy weather conditions, but other DJI drones are water-resistant, and you can temporarily use them in light rain, and they can tolerate a splash of water.

When you want to purchase a water-resistant drone, you have to consider its IP rating, which will provide info on how well the DJI FPV can tolerate water and dust.
Since agricultural drones are regularly spraying chemicals and flying over areas with higher dust particle concentrations that could degrade sensitive aircraft components over time, IP ratings will influence the level of maintenance and repairs required throughout the drone sprayer’s service life. For instance, an IP-67 rating would mean that electrical components would be dust tight and protected against temporary immersion in water.
In summary, the DJI FPV is not fully waterproof, but due to its IP54 rating and having the potential for conformal covering, it can survive for outdoor use in light rain or drizzle.
